Checking the Transporters

Location: Transporter Room One/Holodeck One
Timeline: Current

As John stepped out of the conference room he began go over in his head what the Captain just put out to the rest of the senior staff. Hmm Polaron Torpedo’s what effects do they have on transporter abilities He stepped onto the lift “Transporter Room� He commanded.

The lift moved swiftly down one level, and the doors swished open once again. He stepped out making a bee line towards the transporter room. He entered the room moving over to his console, and began imputing the information of the Polaron particles into his system. With a few beeps, and chimes the computer completed the transfer, and provided an analysis of the information provided.

“Ok so if the torpedo detonates anywhere there’s a fifty-fifty chance it would hinder beaming,� He said aloud. As he continued the studies he realized that there was a chance to focus the beam on a certain point, but it would be a slim chance at best. “Computer,� He spoke out. A chirp came out signifying the computer was ready. “Given the information provided is there anyway to simulate this on the holodeck,� He asked.

The computer worked itself for a moment “It is possible to simulate this reaction there would be a twenty-two percent chance of room for error,� The modest voice responded. “Very well transfer the information to holodeck one,� With that he made his way out the room.

Along the way he figured some help could be preferable so he tapped his commbadge =/= Bradshaw to Maven =/= silence as he strolled down the corridor. =/= Maven here what can I do for you John =/=, =/= Cress I’m heading to the holodeck to perform a test on the Polaron Torpedo verses the Transporters could use some help =/= , =/= I’m just finishing up my lunch I’ll be there shortly Maven out =/=.

Moments later Cress steamed down the corridor “Sorry for the delay John I’m ready whenever you are,� as she threw him a half hearted smile. “Computer run program Polaron Alpha One,� John commanded. “ Program complete you may enter when ready,� came the computer voice. The two stepped thru the doors, and with a hiss the doors closed, and vanished replacing it with a generated wall.

There they stood in the generated Transporter room John looked around for a second Weird He thought. “Ok lets get to work,� He stated. “ I’ll monitor the readouts from here, you take that console, and handle the launching of the weapon, and other system readouts,� He explained. Cress moved over to the secondary console “ Computer link tactical controls from the bridge to this console,� She commanded. With a few beeps from the controls “ Transfer complete,� The computer replied.

The two worked at there stations for a moment or two then John looked over to Cress “Fire the torpedo when ready,� He told her. She punched a few buttons, and watched the readout showing the Polaron torpedo heading for its target. “Torpedo away,� She called back to him. Mere seconds pasted, and the torpedo found its mark on the simulated ship. “ Impact zone is showing multiple power losses within a three hundred foot radius,� Cress informed him. “Very well, beginning transport sequence,� He replied back. The container on the pad began glowing, and slowly dematerializing as it was sent off to the other vessel.

Allot of beeping, and chirping came from his console “I’m having trouble rematerializing on the coordinates, I’m narrowing the confinement area…Got it� He boasted. “Transport complete it looks like we can do it, but the only issues we would need to watch out for is with the power losses that could cause oxygen loss too,� He explained as he transferred the data to his PADD. “Well then I guess we’ll just have to use these as last resorts,� Cress shot back. With the info in hand John was ready to bring it to the Captains attention. “Computer end program, and save,� He commanded as they headed out the door.
