Mission: Ripples

[CONTINUED]
[OLD]

"Are you not paying attention? We can get all the information you both want. We can do this." Addy replied quickly, standing up from his chair before looking over to Orin. "Boss. We got this. This isn't anything new in our wheelhouse. The Ra was designed, by us, to work like this. It's not suicide." He said firmly, looking over to Rylie, than to Miral, before turning his gaze back to Orin. "It's doable, Boss. We got this. Your team has this."

[NEW]

"Ra has already tried to get through to their computers, with no success. We need to be closer. Granted, the move is risky, but it will keep them focused on us and less focused on a computer infiltration and anything we get will go straight to Ranger through a live feed. Morgana can work with the Captain on her end." John added calmly.

"Boss? We've taken out bigger and badder than that. Screw these guys. The Commander and Lieutenant don't know what we are capable of. You do. We're your team. You've been with us. You trained us." Addy said, pleading almost. "All we need is a chance. This is it."

The screw these guys comment from Addy made Cattmor flick her eyes in his direction with a mild fire behind them, and in the dim lighting of the cockpit, she did her best to temper down the visual queue of her hereditary markings around her eyes. Not here, not now, she kept to herself as she glanced back in Orin's direction, at some point soon however, she was going to have a word with Mister Addy, perhaps through Orin, respecting the chain of command a little more than she would have liked.

Orin looked to Addy, before looking over to John. He paused slightly before looking back to Miral and Cattmor. Slowly, he walked over to Cattmor and stopped inches away from her. Even though his goggles his his eyes, it was obvious he was in deep through and looking to her firmly before saying. "Maintain distance. XO's orders."

Addy immediately let out a sigh of disbelief, followed by a frustrated grunt as he sat back down at his station.

Orin wasn't that much taller than Cattmor was, but Rylie still valued her personal space. Orin's general demeanour was foreboding, even threatening in a way, and she didn't truly understand the nuances behind his need to almost attempt to intimidate her in such a way, as he'd done similar acts in the past.

John looked to Gary and nodded before turning back to his console. "I'll try to maintain our stealth as much as possible."

"Maintaining distance, Boss. On Standby for evasive if necessary." Gary replied, focusing back to his helm control.

Orin sat back down in his chair, and looked away, hoping he made the right choice. Normally, he would trust his team to do what they were trained to do, but he wasn't in command like he was led to believe. Not to mention, there were others on board who had not made the same commitment as he and his team made a long time ago. He knew it was crazy, but crazy is what always worked for them. Their enemies never expected crazy and were never prepared for it.

Cattmor glanced to Miral, catching her attention virtually privately since everyone else's attention was attached to their screens. She raised her brow and shook her head slightly, breaking off her glance before returning her gaze out the front window.

Miral sighed. She had to agree with Cattmor.

// USS Ranger

"Thank you, Commodore. We'll escort you back to the station as soon as you've cleared the ionosphere." came the voice over the comm.

T'mpest wondered why they kept calling her Commodore. The Ranger jumped ahead 20 years, therefore, in this timeline, she and the ship disappeared 20 years ago. It did not make sense to her. Still, she had little choice but to comply and trust Orin and the Ra to get them out of this.

"Now that you're co-operation, at least in part since we still don't have visual on your shuttle, appears assured," the voice continued over the speakers, "do you have any injuries, need of supplies or medical equipment?"

A message flickered on T'mpests command console. "This is T'kaarch, they should not be able to read this message. We are working on ways of shielding or defending if necessary, but we'll only actually deploy it if you give the order."

T'mpest responded privately to T'Kaarch. "Understood. Work with de Viro."

To the other ship she said, "You threaten to shoot us down if we don't comply with your wishes and how you offer us medical aid? I have yet to hear anything that will make me feel like I can trust you with the time of day."

A barely stifled chuckle escaped the speakers, "There I can answer the question of fourteen thirty-six hours, which you could easily confirm by syncing with the closest Federation time beacon. I simply need your co-operation and for you to attend the station; I have my orders too. Besides, you hid first, and your shuttle continues to hide. You've given me little incentive to trust you."

---===The Eye of Ra===-
Orin sat in his chair, his head focused forward, as his mind was wondering from thought to thought. The only indication that he was deep in thought was his antennae shifting slight back and forth until they both stopped in place. "John? Addy? Join me in my office please. Grayson? You have the shuttle." He quickly got to his feet before walking to the back room, where his office was, before disappearing into the darkness.

Jack and John looked at each other curiously, before looking over to Gary. The three of them looked silently at each other before Jack and John stood up and proceeded to the back office.

Gary watched them enter the room before, looking over to Riley and Miral. He was confused, but also concerned. The entire situation had him in a cautious mind set from the beginning. Like the others, he felt restrained, but for different reasons. He tapped on the console before, holding their position, before adjusting the monitor to his right to display a communication display. He tapped it. "Ra? Establish a coded link to the tactical display on the Ranger. Let's get a sit rep."

"Establishing a coded relay to the Ranger." Ra replied in his deep voice before adding. "Please allow for a few moments to ensure the connection is secure."
