Sowing the Seeds

When Fer woke up - for he was still alive, everything was dark. Also, for the first time he could remember in his life, his head actually hurt. He wasn't entirely sure what hit him, or what happened, but whatever happened appearantly knocked the light out of him, if not the life.
Feeling around, it became clear he wasn't in his room anymore. In fact, the room didn't have much in the way of features to begin with, with only a simple toilet at one of the sides, as well as a small bank to sit and lay upon.
"Well, that was unpleasant." He said to himself, his voice reverberating against the empty room. He blinked his eyes, and while there was little difference, he figured that, instead of going blind, there might be simply a lack of light in the room.
"Hello, anybody here?" More reverberations, then more silence. Whomever placed him here left him, possibly for dead. As the small Ferengi's head cleared, he started to remember the burly security officer, and bits and pieces of the conversation. "You wouldn't actually hurt a guest, would you?" he said, more to himself than to anyone else, as he was, by now, rather sure he was alone.
Feeling around, he found a door. Rather than the normal force-fields, which would, at least, grant him with some light, his captors had opted to use old-fashioned locked doors. Of course, he couldn't say whether there was anything behind the doors, so they may be just a barring of light, rather than an actual attempt to keep him here. In either case, they were locked, and they wouldn't budge.
He felt his own body. There was a circular pattern of singed cloth where the phaser struck, and, now that he thought of it, a sort of burnt smell emanated from his clothing. "Oh, and this was my finest ware, too." Of course, he hadn't changed any of his clothing since he got on board of the USS Ranger - but never mind that.
Other than that, he seemed fine. A thin layer of tritanium-reinforced cloth had protected him from the brunt of the impact, without which, he was sure, the hole in his cloth would've gone all the way through. As it was, though, he was left with a hole in his pride, as he wasn't used to being subdued - and left for dead for that matter - so easily. Of course, he had been teleported without consent once, but that, eventually, saved his life, so he decided not to hold grudges on that part. That, and whomever he should have had a grudge on must've perished along with the destruction of the USS Dubai.
He resumed tugging and pulling at the door, but whatever held it closed was stronger than his small body could break. "Well dang it." he said to himself. "Well, Jimmy, it's up to you now! Hee hee hee hee - hahahahahaahahaha" His laugh reverberated through the hollow room, but no-one heard it.
