Absent-mindedly, Jimmy pressed a few buttons on the Science's controls. Immediately, the ship started shaking. Shocked, Jimmy checked his own work, and found that he was working on the inertial dampeners, instead of the sensors. "Sorry, Captain.." He said as the rumble stopped.

Elsie shot Cooper a look and narrowed her eyes inquisitively. "What just happened?" she asked, now walking over to his station. "Turbulence?"

"Yes, no, I.. err.." blushing, Jimmy faced his captain. "Wrong button."

Elsie narrowed her eyes and focused on her Chief Science Officer as she spoke. "Lieutenant," she began with, softly but rather sternly. "Is everything all right? Whilst we're submerged, I need all eyes and ears open. We can't afford distractions."

"Captain," Jimmy said, uncharacteristically ignoring the rebuke, "Do you believe in Gods?"

Elsie shook her head and knitted her brow. "Gods?" she questioned, shaking her head. "No, no I don't. Are you sure you're feeling all right?" Halliwell was now worried as her mind flashed to Blake's unspoken turmoil.

"I've never really known my father, Captain," Jimmy's mind was jumping, and he had trouble concentrating, but as for the why he couldn't tell. "But I think my dad may have been a god, and I think he may be here." While not pointing as such, Jimmy did look towards the main viewscreen, which showed the great blue sea.

Halliwell nodded slowly and widened her eyes. "Jimmy," she said, now physically displaying genuine signs of concern. "I think you should go to sickbay. Get Lieutenant Carter to meet you there too. I don't think you're very well."

"Oh, no, no, I'm fine, I'm really fine. I would just like to meet my dad." Jimmy shifted his gaze to the captain. "Isn't family important?"

This was a question that shook Elsie to the core. With the situation being what it was, parental longing was something that struck her closer to the heart than she cared to admit. She knelt down to meet Jimmy eye to eye and softened her face a little. "What's wrong, Jimmy. What's going on?"

Jimmy kept looking, no, gazing towards his captain. His brain was racing. His FATHER was out there. He knew this for a fact. The mermaids, the huge castle, it's all REAL, he just has to find it. "My father," he spoke softly, "my father is a god. My father is over there, I know it. Captain," he was now looking at her eyes directly, "I would like your permission to search for my father. If he's out there, I should be able to find him with the sensors."

Elsie shook her head at Jimmy again and shot a worried look over to T'mpest. "No, Lieutenant. I can't allow you to swan off on your own personal investigation at the moment. But pop into sickbay and we can discuss this later, when our mission is coming to a close." The captain couldn't help but be concerned for her recently added crewmember. Gods? Mermaids? What was happening to the poor lad. "This is Halliwell to Sessan. Report to the bridge, immediately," she said into her combadge.

"Now, come on, Jimmy," she said, taking him by the hand and leading him away from the station. "Sickbay. Now. That's an order." She coaxed him out of his chair and replaced his weight with her own, spinning the chair around and logging into the control panel with her own ID. "Now, Mr. Cooper."

"But, captain, I..." Jimmy looked desperately for a way out of this, but saw none. "Yes, captain." With a curt nod, he walked to the turbolift, and disappeared from sight.
