An Uninvited Roommate

Before heading down to his new work area, the Science department, Jimmy decided to quickly drop into his new quarters, and have a quick sonic shower.

Little did he know that this was actually the same quarters Lieutenant T'kaarch left only hours before. Anyway, Jimmy entered and looked around. It was slightly more spacious then his earlier quarters - not at all big, but large enough for a couch and some entertainment, along with the more standard issue bed, shower etcetera.

Interior decoration had to wait, as he had work to do - or at least, people to meet. He stripped down, folding his uniform neatly on the sink, then entered the Sonic Shower.

"Excuse me, who are you and what are you doing in MY room?!"

Jimmy almost got a heart attack. "Wha - Who?" Covering his body, he looked over the shower's curtain.

"Hello, mr spikes." Holly looked at the uninvited face. If she wasn't so confused on what he was doing here, she'd found his face priceless. Presently, however, there was a naked man in her - well, T'kaarchs - shower.

"Euh, excuse me, who exactly are you?" Jimmy had already determined the girl not to be a threat, but she was still in his bathroom, uninvited.

"I'm Holly."

"Well, hello miss Holly. I think there might be a misunderstanding. Why don't you let me get dressed, then we can sort this out."

"Ok." Holly heaved herself on the sink.

"Um... I ment... outside?"

"Oh.." Holly hadn't considered this. "Well, ok." She jumped off and sat on a chair in the living room. Making sure the bathroom door was closed and locked, he dropped the towel, and got back into his uniform, while wondering what the hell was going on here.

Eventually, Jimmy came out of the bathroom and sat on the other side of Holly.

"So... You live here?"

"Yup."

"You sure you're not confused or anything?"

"No. This is T'kaarch's quarters, I live with T'kaarch."

"T'kaarch? Wait a minute, isn't that this Caitian?"

"A stupid cat, yes."

Jimmy couldn't help but grin. "I think I've met your... cat, on his way out. Anyway, this IS my quarters now."

Holly pouted. "So, you're gonna throw me out? I'll be homeless."

"Well..." Jimmy thought. "Can't we ask the captain for your own quarters?"

"Elsie doesn't like me, she doesn't even see me." With that, she dissapeared, leaving a thoroughly stunned Jimmy behind. Before long, however, she appeared again.

"Um... what ARE you?"

"A hologram, mister spikes."

"Cooper. Lieutenant Jimmy Cooper."

"Whatever you want, mister spikes."

"Listen, how about you stay here for a while, at least while this isnt sorted out?"

Holly smiled. "That'll do! Thank you, Mister Spikes!"

"Jimmy..."

"What?"

"Never mind. I should go now." And with that, Jimmy left towards the Science station.
