It had been a quicker turnaround then he had expected. Captain Northcutt had been able to depart in 36 hours. That was impressive, even in his mind.

He then set course at Maximum Warp for the Fairfax, and hoped that he and his Nebula class ship would arrive in time to be of assistance to the Ranger, and perhaps even the Archimedes.If she had been found.

Now, at less than an hour from the rendezvous point, Captain Northcutt had his Operations Officer open up a comm channel to the Ranger to get an update.

"This is the Fairfax calling the Ranger. Are you there?" he asked. In a few moments, the image of Captain Halliwell appeared on the main view screen.

"Ah, Captain. It's good to see you again." Northcutt said. "I am pleased to inform you that we are about an hour away from meeting up with you." he said with a smile. He was quite pleased with the efficiency of his officers and crew. "Have you found the Archimedes?" he asked her.

“Yes,†she replied swiftly, placing down her final report PaDD and looking him fully in the face through her own viewscreen. “And aside from the theft of the artefact, a kidnapping and destroying every major and key system the Nova class possessed, she is in good shape.†Her sense of humour was somewhat uncharacteristic for the woman, especially on the outset of another major and treacherous mission, but the sight and welcome assistance of the Fairfax alleviated her anxiety.

"Wonderful news, Captain. Do your people need any additional assistance getting Archimedes back up and working again?" he asked.

“No, thank you,†Halliwell then replied, holding up a hand of gratitude. “I believe that both my and Kerr’s crew have the matter truly in hand. We should have most of the leg-work completed by your arrival.â€

"Very well. I will contact you again when we are in transporter range. Northcutt out." he said as the screen went back to the field of flowing stars.

Halliwell smiled as the screen darkened, internally glad of the help and support anther capable officer could offer. Her hands now full attempting to organise two ships with Kerr out of the game, any assistance was welcomed.
