[Flashback to just before the power-failure]
:ON:
The dark figure rounded the empty corridor and accessed the Jeffries tube hatch, climbing into the vacuole beyond it and sealing themselves in. Padding their way through the vein of the Archimedes on their hands and knees, their grunting could be heard reverberating down into her bowels. As they entered a junction, intersected by two further Jeffries tubes to the left and right, an Engineering crewman could be heard tinkering away at an access port. Stopping short, the mysterious figure pressed themselves sharply against the interior of the tube, concealing their presence from the workman. Breathing slowly, they waited patiently out of view.
Ten minutes passed by before the crewman replaced the casing on the relay he was working on, collected his tools and returned them into his case. He muttered something inaudible to himself, scratched his crotch and evacuated the section, leaving the shadowed figure alone. As the intruder heard the junction hatch seal itself closed, they swung their legs around to the opening and dangled them into the vacated section. Lifting off, they landed on the junction floor with a thud.
Crouching on their feet, they then removed the casing to the relay and discarded it to the side with a clatter. Out of their pocket, the figure produced a loaded hypospray and placed the end of it on the sheath of the bio-neural gel-pack, injecting it with a fizz as they did so. The glowing blue-green of the relay gurgled with the foreign agent and turned almost a brown-purple in colour. Suddenly, and for a brief moment, the figure was plunged into darkness as the agent infiltrated the components of the pack, disrupting the power-grid as it did. The intruder then waited for 5 seconds or so before the gel-pack reverted back to its original florescent blue and power was fully restored.
With no emotion on their face, the individual replaced the covering to the relay and excited the Jeffries tube, solemnly steeling into corridor beyond.
