"Begin recording when ready," said the computer in it familiar soft feminine tones.

I have been out of commission for a few days having contracted a rare stomach bug but I am back and itching to go. Commander Lane has given myself and Lt, jg Shran the task of investigating the infection of the gel-oak network. I have yet to speak with Lieutenant Shran concerning this matter but I shall soon.

"Computer, suspend log and file."
