Location: Deck 1, Bridge
Timeline: Day One: 10:20hrs

As Commander Arkham left the Bridge to assemble her away-team, Lane looked over to his Chief Flight Control Officer and cleared his throat slightly.

�Mr. Parsons. Before you are dismissed to the shuttlebay, I would like a word if you don�t mind.�

"Sure!", Jack said as he turned round to face the Captain.

The Trill made the short walk over to the helmsman across the Bridge and to the conn. Parsons was just about to stand up, already having swivelled his chair to make his exit. Holding out his hand, palm out and exposed, Commander Lane smiled.

�It�s about your trip down to the surface, Lieutenant. When the Nagasaki�s team were dispatched down to Citadel Prime, there were attacked by land-to-air projectiles. The reports I have received about the attack are incomplete and so I need you excessively cautious. We don�t know what still could be down there in wait. That is why I need my best pilot for this job. As you know, the shuttles we have on the Arch are no where near as manoeuvrable or as streamlined as the fighters on an Akira.�

Lane fixed his eyes on his CFCO and said, �Parsons, I need you to get my crew down there in one piece.�

"You can be 100% sure on that sir", he said with a smile, then tapped his COMM Badge.

After giving the orders to his officers, Jack turned to the Captain, and waited to be dismissed, unless he still had something to tell him.

�Good, Lieutenant. Then, you�re dismissed� and thank you. But I�ll hold you to your word.�

Lane simply nodded to convey his sincerity.

Jack nodded back, as he walked off the Bridge and into the turbolift, "Deck 4".
