Checking the Systems

Mission: Unmasked Miners
Location: USS Ranger; Transporter Room 1

ON:

Leo hummed to himself as he stepped into the transporter room. He nodded at the crewman manning the transporter. "We're going to shut down these transporters one by one. Starting with this one. Make sure you leave the others on-line while we check over these systems."

The crewman nodded as she walked over to one of the wall panels and began to shut down the current transporter room. The lights in the room dimmed slightly a sign the system had began to shut down.

Leo smiled and nodded as he stepped over to the transport pad. He tapped a button at the base of the pad, causing the pad to rise up slightly so the iner-workigns of the pad became visible. "Hand me that tool kit please." The crewman nodded and she handed the man the requested kit.

Leo opened it and grabbed a tool inside and began to tweak some pathways inside. He set the tool down and grabbed a tricorder and flipped it open and waved it over the pad. "Hm." he set the tricorder down and picked up the tool once more and made some more adjustments.

"This should do the trick." he said to himself as he picked up the tricorder once more after placing the tool he used back on the deck. He waved the tricorder over the pad and smiled. "Perfect." He looked over his shoulder as he lowered the pad back down into place.

"Crewman. I want you to go to the other transporter rooms and start work on these modifications. " He picked up a PADD as he spoke and started to enter information into the device. As he finished his sentance he handed the device to the women. "Make sure they are modified to these specifications." The crewman glanced down at the device in her hand and looked up at Leo. "What will these do exactly?"

"These will help speed up our response time. Usually there is a lag spike in between the time the command is enterd into the system and between the time the command is finally processed. These modifications will help slightly." She nodded then left the room.

Leo walked over to the wall panel and began to bring the room's systems back on-line. He smiled to himself as the room started to come back to life. He leaned against the main control console and sighed contently. "This will be a great assignment."
