Mission: Restricted Independent Operations
Location: SB 351/ USS Archimedes
Timeline: Current

ON:

After being transported onto Starbase 351 by the USS Horus. Jack Parsons is in search of his new ship, the USS Archimedes. He walks for awhile trying to find the nova-class starship, which was much bigger than the anubis-class he just left.

In the corner of his eye, he saw it. A sleek superb starship docked ready for him to come aboard. It couldn't move without the assistance of the ace chief helmsman.

As he approached the ship, he tapped the side and turned around to face the starbase and the other ships and smiled, "They might have a landrover, but we have a ferrari!"

He stepped in and entered the nearest turbolift, "Deck 2", as it moved, he thought about when he first entered the turbolift and how scared he was, but of course, that was when we was little.

When the turbolift stopped, Jack entered his quarters with his luggage already waiting for him. "Don't stare at me like that!", he said in a snigger as he grabbed each bag and slung onto his bed for him to sort out.

"This is going to take some time", he thought, so he walked out of his quarters and walked upto a computer screen, "Computer, is Lieutenant Arkham aboard?". The computer answered in it's monotonous voice, "Lieutenant Arkham is aboard the ship". Jack smiled with relief, "Thank you".

He went back into the comfort of his quarters and tapped his COMM badge. =^= Parsons to Arkham =^=

Arkham had been sitting in her office when she received the Helmsman's page, and had just been settling down to work. It was nice to see that people were starting to learn to report in when they were directed--she was still waiting on the Chief Engineer and the Counselor, but she supposed she would wait a little longer before she started going on safari to hunt them down.

Tapping her combadge, Arkham rasped =A= Arkham here. My office is on Deck 2. I don't make housecalls. =A=

=^= On my way then, Parson out =^= Jack stepped out his quarters and walked down the corridors till he reached the executive officer's office. Jack quickly straightened himself up with his back straight and his hands behind his back and walked in.

Arkham smirked as the young man entered her office, or at least as much as her ruined face would allow. She'd gotten used to it these past ten years--most people were still disturbed by the grotesque grafts and dark scars that ran up the left side of Arkham's neck, covered the left side of her face and surrounded that filmy and unseeing left eye. Fixing the young man in her steady cobalt gaze, she rasped, "About time. I trust your trip was a relatively pleasant one?"

"About time! About time! Calm down Jack, some don't know how wonderful you are", he said in his head in that precise moment. He smiled at her, then replied, "It was ok thanks, the Horus dropped me off awhile a go, so I'm looking forward to being on this ship".

"Good," Arkham rasped, eyeing the man critically. Rowena Arkham always got quite a bit out of first meetings--and right now, she couldn't decide if she liked this seemingly arrogant young man or not. "Keep in mind if I am kept waiting again, I will be using your rank pips as tooth fillings. You think yourself a fairly important and skilled young man --oh, I can see it in your gaze, Mr. Parsons--but allow me to put things into perspective: I am Everest; you, in comparison, are a molehill. Get used to it."

Jack tried to keep confident but didn't say a word and by the looks of it. It seems that she enjoyed it.

Arkham smirked. "Are you settled yet? Anything you're going to need?"

"I think I'm right", he said in his head, "But let's carry on". He looked at her and replied, "Not had time yet ma'am. Soon as I came off, I sorted my luggae in my quarters and came straight here", and in his head he continued the sentence, "And you complain about the time!".

Arkham nodded. "All right then. You're dismissed, Mr. Parsons."

"Thank you", he said, and as he didn't have a seat to sit on, he walked straight out the office and went down the corridor and into his quarters as quick as he could.
