There had been little time since joining the Ranger for T'mpest to use the holodeck. So, when she found herself with a few free hours, she decided to make the most of her time and get in some much-needed practice.

She stopped by her quarters long enough to change into a pair of soft leather pants, a white blouse and leather vest -- clothing her ancient Scottish ancestors had worn. She took her Claymore off of its wall mount and examined it carefully. She regularly took it down to clean it and make sure it was sharp.

She sheathed her sword and strapped it onto her back, checking to ensure that the draw was smooth. She swung the sword in a practiced pattern, and then sheathed it again, grinning.

She had yet to try the new program her friend, Harmos sent her. He was a former Gladiator from Magnus Roma and her sparring partner on the Endeavor. She loved fighting with him because he was the most skilled warrior she'd ever met and as such, forced her to work harder to keep up.

It would be fun to see Harmos again -- if only on the holodeck.

Just as she was about to leave, she remembered to braid her hair -- a seldom-used but effective weapon if she lost her sword.

Finally ready, she smiled jauntily at Salem and headed for the holodeck.
