Lucy had to admit that even with her limited programming skills, the results were spectacular. Before her in sickbay, stood a very handsome young man. He had thick blonde hair, green eyes, a perfect complexion and... well, just a beautiful face. She sighed. "Doctor, I think I actually like you myself!"

The EMH looked down at his new, large, manly hands and finely muscled body and then up at his reflection in a viewscreen. "Mmm" he said, having looked at his new face from every angle. "I am rather handsome, I suppose, but do you think she will fall for it?"

Lucy smiled. "I don't doubt it for a second" she said. "And besides, it's a brilliant idea of yours."

They had spent a good few hours wondering how to take the wind out of Maria Traho's sails after she had embarrassed the doctor with some particularly unpleasant diseases embodied into his programming. Finally, a passive measure was agreed upon. After all Lucy was too kind to do anything truly nasty and the EMH, as a doctor, could do no harm. A gentle approach was required - one where Maria would essentially set herself up for a fall.



=A= "Carter to Maria Traho."

Maria yawned. She was relaxing with the latest celebrity gossip on her PADD and sitting across two chairs in the Golden Crown. A young ensign was looking at her hopefully after she had cheerfully accepted a second drink from him.

=A= "What is it Luce?" she asked, rather boredly.

=A= "Please could you come to the holodeck? There is someone I want you to meet."

15 minutes later Maria opened the automatic doors and swayed into Lucy's pub programme, still yawning. The disguised doctor was facing the door and sitting by the fire, the light from the flames making maximum highlight of his new cheekbones. He was reading from a PADD.

Lucy said "There you are, Maria. I have a new friend on board. Her name is Samantha and she is new here today. Would you like to meet h..." her voice trailed off as she realised Maria had not been listening. The holographic female Ensign called Samantha at the bar had been less necessary than she thought.

Maria's eyes were drawn to the man by the fire. He didn't look up. She moved over, closer to him. "Weeeelllll, lieutenant" she oozed at the EMH. "I am new here. Would you like to buy me a drink?"

The EMH looked up briefly at the large, brown eyes, treacle hair and spectacular hourglass figure. His eyes flicked up and down her curves once and he said "I am busy."

Maria was taken aback, but undeterred. She pulled up the chair oppsite him and crossed her long legs. Slowly. Her hands ran down her waist as if to smooth her clothes. "I don't think we have met before." She held out a hand, palm down, as if she wanted him to kiss the back. "Nurse. Maria Traho."

The EMH looked up briefly and said "Oh. Geoffrey Fork. Pleasure."

"The pleasure is all mine, Lieutnant ...Fork." She sighed. It usually didn't take this long for a bloke to come onto her. The EMH looked down, resolutely. Lucy approached the two.

"Hello, Geoffrey" she said.

The EMH looked up. "Lucy! How absolutely lovely to see you here! How are you?" He got to his feet and gave her a peck on the cheek. Maria's posture stiffened.

"I am fine, thank you. Just having a drink with my new friend, Samantha. Have you met her?"

Half an hour later and Geoffrey and Samantha had clearly gelled. Their banter at the bar was getting louder with every drink. Maria's mood was, conversely, getting blacker.

"...and so, I hid his hat in the torpedo bay!" said the EMH, Samantha, Lucy and the rest of the bar charcters errupted into laughter. Maria had had enough. Approaching the bar, she pushed Samantha to one side, knocking her drink.

"Geoffrey!" she said, rather too loudly and with a smile too wide. "How about you and I leave the nursery for a more adult conversation in my quarters?"

The EMH had no chance to respond as she leant forward and kissed him solidly on the mouth. At that moment Lucy said quietly "Computer - return EMH to original body".

Maria withdrew her mouth opened her eyes and screamed. "YOU!" she said. "You... the Captain will hear about this! Impersonation of an officer is a criminal offence!"

She turned quickly and stamped out of the holodeck. Lucy and the EMH looked at each other, smiling. "Well" Lucy said at length. "How do you feel now that you are back to normal?"

"Absolutely bloody marvelous" the doctor replied.
