Mission: Citadel Prime
Location: Sickbay
Timeline: Current

Mabren had just finished meeting with the XO and resumed writing his note to the Counselor, requesting to set up a time to go over the psych evals of the crew. After he had finished with the note, Mabren began reviewing the medical files of the crew again. Though most Starfleet vessels were predominantly one race, the Archimedes maintained a healthy diversity. Before he could get too far down the list of the small crew, the doors swished open and one of the more unique members of the crew walked in.

Standing up from his desk, Mabren walked out of his office and greeted the woman who had just walked in, "Hello, Lieutenant, what can I do for you?"

Skanda had always had a comfortable relationship with doctors and she had a feeling she'd like this Bajoran (or half? she couldn't decide) as well. As a result of this feeling the yellow eyed lieutenant gifted him with one of her rare smiles. "Engi'eer Skanda Sheedy, reportin' for physic'l, sir, if you've go' the time."

"Of course, Lieutenant," Mabren said, "Just have a seat on a biobed, and we'll begin."

Skanda slid up onto the nearest biobed and looked at the doctor. "What do I 'ave t' do? Jus' sit and let you work, eh?"

"Yes, Lieutenant," Mabren answered with a smile, "It's all a simple scan and compare." Pulling out his tricorder, Mabren began making his scans. Mabren couldn't help but giggle as he remembered how... physical the physicals used to be. Looking up at the engineer, Mabren said, "Sorry, just thinking."

After the scans had completed, he walked over to the console and began comparing the data to the baseline. Looking back, Mabren asked, "You have an interesting mix of races, I didn't think they were all compatible?"

Skanda's lips twitched at Mabren's laugh. Men's laughter had always amused her in a vague way. She tipped her head back to think and looked up at the lights in the ceiling. "Human an' Orion, surely. Human and Ktarian, 's been proven. Orion and Ktarian, tha's never been done. Bu' I guess i' works, 'cause here I am!"

After looking at the results, Mabren walked over and stood across from the engineer, resting against the other biobed, "Have you been eating properly, Lieutenant? Your blood sugar is running a little lower than normal."

Skanda laid two fingers against her own wrist, as if by checking her pulse she could take her blood sugar as well. "Well, been tryin'. But I'm a picky eate' and some'imes I forge'." One eyebrow popped up and down in question. "Is tha' a real problem?"

Mabren couldn't help but smile at the gesture before he answered, "Just a little. But it has a easy enough solution. Eat. If you have to, set reminders for you."

"I'll do i'," Sheedy said firmly. "Las' thing I wanna do is fall ou' righ' before the mission star's!"

Laughing, Mabren said, "Yes, that would be a bad thing. Unless you have any questions, we're all through."

Skanda slid from the biobed and made tracks for the door. She called back over her shoulder to Mabren. "Thanks f' th' time, Doc. I'll do wha' y' tol' me, never fear!"
