Mission: Shoreleave - Welcoming Old Friends and New
Location: Outside Galway Ireland
Timeline: current

ON:

Shalie walked for what seemed like hours. Her wounded arm rested in the sling as her mind raced. She was furious with Drew and was even more furious with herself. Wondering why she had been so stupid to have accepted the invite? What had she expected some sort of bonding…that should have been the shock…not this.

The sun had long since gone down and the debate raged in her. There was so much of this beautiful area that she wanted to explore but was it worth putting up with Drew. Shaking her head Shalie finally decided to turn back. It was late enough that she should be able to quietly get back to her room without disturbing anyone. The trip back to the house seemed to take a bit longer. She was exhausted and still fuming.

The door creaked softly as Shalie slowly pushed it open. As she had expected with the early schedule planned everyone had retired to their respective rooms. The house was still filled with the scent from dinner as she crossed to the stairs. Climbing the stairs she was cautious to avoid as many squeaks as possible. The last thing she needed was for anyone to catch her. She just wanted to get to bed and she would make her decision to stay or leave in the morning.

The click of the door was a relaxing sound to Shalie’s ears. Not that it was locked or had any source of security but for tonight it was hers and a place where she could be alone. She struggled to remove the sling, doing her best to keep her arm stationary as she maneuvered the strap off her shoulder. She would never be able to get to sleep with it on. She easily lowered herself on to her bed, clutching her communicator in her hand as her head lowered to the pillow. She vainly closed her eyes as she hoped that sleep would soon find her.

[Later]

When Shalie's eyes opened for a moment she was lost in the thought of being home. Where ever home was. It didn't take long for the room to come into a vague focus as he eyes adjusted to the almost nonexistent light. She was still in Drew's family home and it was in this moment that she made up her mind. Cradling her arm as she swung her legs over the edge of the bed, moving into a sitting position.

She smoothly stood up and easily slid sling around her arm and only slightly struggled attaching the strap around her neck. With a few adjustments she moved though the room quickly gathered her things. She took a deep breath before her hand gently grasped the door knob. The house was quiet as she silent made her way down the stairs and out the front door.

As she reached the white gate of the O'Connell family property, Shalie turned and took one last at the house. She pushed though the gate and once on the other side clicked her communicator. =/\=Montgomery to USS Archimedes....point to point trasport to San Fransisco.=/\= The beautiful Irish countryside melted around her and was quickly replaced with the buzzing city of San Fransisco. With the time difference the sun was high in the sky causing Shalie to squint as she moved through the crowd.
