Jonas smiled, knowing that he the Archimedes would be joining the team. "I'll need you to take command of the Citadel Prime command and control center, provide resources to the marine and Starfleet personnel on planet as well has provide system defense." Jonas punched a few buttons on his console, "I'm transmitting a secure folder to you now. It contains the Task Force mission profile as well as some of my logs."

“Excellent, Captain, the Trill remarked. “I’ll review this information with Commander Arkham and then present it to the Senior Staff once we are underway. Shall we meet you at Citadel Prime or en-route??

"We'll meet when we get back to Citadel Prime. I've got a Chief Warrant Officer there running the CIC we set up. You can liaise with her when you arrive." Jonas leaned forward, "She will understand you have command and control of the sector and the mission."

[NEW]

Motioning for Commander Arkham to arise from the Ready Room chair first, Commander Lane allowed for her to leave the room and enter the Bridge before him. Surveying the Bridge officers working like bees to get underway, a smile crossed the Trill’s face.

“It feels like it’s all coming together, Ms Arkham, doesn’t it??

Arkham smirked a little, stepping out onto the bridge for the first time. She'd been avoiding coming out here until the day they left, and was not disappointed in doing so -- the bridge was a bustling center of activity; it was much different from the quiet unobtrusive intelligence offices she was used to working in.

Indeed it does, sir," Arkham rasped, a hint of a smile forming on her lips.

Smiling back, Lane swiftly flicked at his combadge to its responsive twitter.

=A= This is the Captain. All senior officers report to the Bridge immediately. =A=

Looking over to Mr. Parsons who was already eagerly sat at the Conn, he walked up behind him and tapped him lightly on the shoulder.

“Lieutenant Parsons, I presume?? he asked with a smile and extending his hand out to greet him. “I apologise I have not had the chance to introduce myself to you sooner. But, we’ll have plenty of time en-route for that. I assume you know how to initiate the pre-flight sequences, Lieutenant??

The Trill grinned, and with a subtle nod to convey his order in jest.

Jack turned away from the console and looked at the Captain, "Sure do Captain", he smiled and remembered how it was in academy.

“And liaise with Chief Sheedy. I’m not sure the engines have been fired up as yet. She should be joining us on the Bridge in a moment.

Jack nodded, "Will do that sir". He turned back to the console, while keeping an eye out for Chief Sheedy.

Carter strode in through the bridge doors and walked over confidently to Lane. "Ensign Carter reporting for duty, sir" she said.

"Very well, Ensign. It's not always customary to have the Chief Counsellor on the Bridge, but I thought you may appreciate the view from up here. There isn’t a seat for you, however, you can just sit next to my chair, if you like.

"Sir, I should not want to get in the way of any operations and will repair sick bay, if you will allow" ventured Carter, now thoroughly confused as to why she had joined this ship in the first place.

“Not at all. I wouldn’t hear of it, Ensign. I asked you up as a senior member of staff and I would like you to stay, he replied with sincerity.

Larkin stumbled unto the bridge, feeling as though he was running late. He'd been in an isolation lab when the call had come in to report to the bridge, and it had taken him a good minute or so to extract himself. He was relieved to see that he wasn't the last to arrive, and made a quiet beeline for the science station. "Ok, where are the sensors?" he muttered softly.

Skanda appeared on the bridge from the turbolift. The green-skinned woman's uniform was wrinkled and a smear of dust crossed her cheek. She had obviously been working when the commander called her up. All had heard her muttering her annoyance to herself, but when the engineer registered the sight of the crowded bridge, she buttoned her lip and made a beeline for the engineering console. Once there, she turned to the commander.

"Lieuten'nt JG Skanda Sheedy reportin', sir."

“Thank you, Lieutenant. Take your station. This get this tin-can out of spacedock and onwards, eh?? I believe that Mr. Parsons is about to initiate the pre-flight start-up, so…

Just then Sam strode onto the bridge before silently taking position at the primary operations console.

Turoc appeared from the turbolift doors as he walked onto the Bridge. Most of eyes focused on the massive being in his ritual armor. "How may be of assistance, Sir?" he enquired looking at his Trill commanding officer.

His face, stern. remained so. “Please, Ensign Turoc. Take your station.

"Aye sir." Turoc said as headed for the tactical station and looked over the panel familiarizing himself with the setup, particularly the weapons systems. The alpha male shows his true nature at last this is going to a great hunt he thought to himself.

Jack stood up away from the console and walked up to Chief Sheedy, "Are the engines fired up yet?".

Skanda's fingers flashed over her board. "They can be, sir. Jus' waitin' on the orde'." She took the commander's question as a command and sent down for the warp engines to be brought online. Within the seconds it took for the order to be transmitted and fulfilled, Sheedy noted Lieutenant Parsons and nodded to him politely. A familiar thrum buzzed in the deckplates and Skanda looked up at Lane. "Rea'y when you are, sir."

"Great!", Jack sat back down and looked out through the windscreen and smiled.

Turoc said in gravely tone "All systems all functioning at peak efficiency sir."

“Thank you, Mr. Turoc, Stace replied. He turned around and then ambled calmly back to the center of the Bridge.

“Commander Arkham, if you would care to give the order to take us out, he said, as he lowered himself, for the first time, into his Captain’s chair. The firm support underneath his frame was comforting. And, as he rested back into it, he silently smiled to himself.

Arkham took a seat in her chair, smiling a little as she did so. God, that felt right. "All right, you heard the man, people. Let's get this show on the road."

Turning to Lane, she said, "You think we're ready for this?"

“I’m not sure, Commander, the Trill replied sincerely. “But, one thing certainly is… We’re gonna have to be. If the information that Captain Sheppard sent over to us about the Citadel Sectors is accurate, we’re gonna need each and every one of them to be ready.

He paused for a second or two and then smiled. “They’re Starfleet officers, Ms Arkham… and because of that, I have faith that they will be.
