ON:

Lucy relished being able to walk about the ship once again. During the short time she had spent on board she had decided this was by far the most comfortable and accommodating place she had ever lived. Aside from her sojorn in the brig, that is.

She reached sickbay and found nobody at home. "Computer, activate the EMH."

The EMH fizzed into view. "Please state... Lieutenant!" he cried.

Lucy grinned at him. "Miss me, doctor?" she asked.

Unusually the EMH was grinning back at her "yes! How was your time in the brig?" he asked more seriously.

"Oh you know. Dull. Let's not dwell on that, doctor. I think I could do with a physical exam and actually, just a good old chat."


She sat on the edge of the biobed and the EMH scanned her with the tricorder, taking his time. "Well," he said finally, "apart from lower seratonin levels, you are completely healthy. I recommend a spell on the holodeck to liven you up a bit. Oh and make sure you put the lights out properly at night. Seratonin is helped by sleeping in darkness."

"I will, doctor and thanks." Lucy jumped off the bed. "I don't suppose you would join me in the holodeck at the pub? I have rather missed our chats."

The EMH smiled. "Of course. I have so much to tell you. The symbiont is in stasis, that Maria Traho has managed to get herself a job as a nurse, poor old Kevin Larkin ..."

Lucy held up her hand and cut him off. "Doctor, let's go to the pub. Then you can tell me all about it."
