Computer - personal log of Lucy Carter - am I still the ship's counsellor?

No, Computer, disregard my last phrase. This is Lucy Carter and this is the first time for several days I have been able to gain access to the ship's computer. I have been confined to the brig with Captain Lane for - for too long. I am still uncertain of the charges under which I am being held and have received no indication of my release date or a trial.

Meanwhile, two guards have escorted me to the Golden Crown for "lunch". Commander Arkham wanted me out of the way while she spoke to the Captain and I have managed to get to computer access, away from the guards, under the pretext of "using some nice facilities for a change". Also, Maria was in the lounge and unwittingly provided the guards with a charming distraction.

I don't have long. They might come for me at any moment. It is clear that there is a conspiracy on board and Arkham is involved. What is not clear is why. This is something I am sure Starfleet will want to know about and it is for this reason I am encrypting this log to leave no trace of its having been recorded. Should something untoward happen to me, computer, I want you to send this record to.... to Maria Traho. She must ensure it is received by Starfleet.

They are coming. Computer - heed my instructions and encrypt under Carter Pi Alpha 9.
