After dropping off his gear in a shared quarters on Deck 5 (he was going to see what he could do to change that… in due time) he arrived at the Operations Office on Deck 2. He pulled out the PADD with the ‘official manifest’ and tapped the chime to the Chief of Operations office and waited.

Shalie had just set back to getting some work done after her little visit from O'Connell. With they offices on the same deck she had a feeling that these visits would become a regular thing. She was pulled from her work and her thoughts as the chime sounded. She sighed, "Enter..."

Vaxx entered when beckoned into the small Chief of Operations Office. He approached the desk and then looked at the Lieutenant, his new boss. He'd seen her picture on the transfer manifest, but in person, she was stunning. He blinked a couple of times, and finally snapped out of it and back to attention. "Petty Officer, 3rd Class Vaxx, Reporting for duty, sir, er.. ma'am." 'Get it together Vaxx, it's just a female. Granted, a very attractive female that outranks you, but still, just a female.'

Shalie cocked an eyebrow at the young officer. He was Ferengi she knew, but she had never met one before let alone served with one. "Please take a seat." She said as she motioned to the two chairs that were in front of her desk. "You will have to give me a minute...I am new to this ship and haven't even looked over my exsisting crew." Her fingers moved across the display as she pulled up her department manifest. "ah...I see you came from Starbase 375...have you ever served on an actual ship before?"

Vaxx took a seat and put his eyes on his PADD, both to focus on his duty, and to keep from getting distracted by his new bosses good looks. "This is my first assignment aboard a Federation vessel. Although in my early teens, I served aboard one of my father's ships in an unofficial capacity." He looked up to be polite and spoke directly to her. 'Wow' he thought. "In an effort to 'hit the ground running' I have taken the liberty of bringing with me some supplies to 'top off' the ship non replicated stores, and I have some ideas on streamlining the supply process if you're interested." He offered the Orion the PADD to review his information if she was so inclined. Ideally, it would be best if she wasn't one of those that micro-managed, and more profitable as well.

Shalie quickly scrolled over the information in the PADD. She didn't really care what all he brought on board as long as it wasn't against regulations. She glanced up at the Ferengi. "Well...everything looks fine to me..." She started as she handed the PADD back to him. "To be honest, I don't care what you do as far as supplies go as long as you don't break regulations..."

Vaxx let the last sentence hang in the air for a just a moment. "Of course, Lieutenant. I will endeavor to make sure the Archimedes supply chain is in top form." Vaxx smiled, showing his teeth in an effort to show sincerity, all the while mentally laying out his attack plan on how to use the regulations to his advantage. He had some reading to do in that department, which he noted on his PADD. "Are there any immediate problems or concerns I need to sort out or tasks you need me to take care of? If not, I'll start working on some of my ideas."

Shalie smiled at the Ferengi. She was already disliking not being about to read him. Maybe it was the stigma in regards to Ferengi that made her feel like he was going to make her stay on the Archimedes that much more interesting. Deciding that there wasn't much she could do about it she replied. "As I said before I too am just getting settled in...you know just as much as I do...but trust me if something comes up I will be sure to let you know."

"Good. I am at your disposal." Vaxx stood up and nodded and headed out of the office into the main Operations room. He was eager to get back to sorting out his inventory from the Archimedes and finding a place to store them. He logged into the central computer and downloaded any requests, expecting none. He was surprised to see one entry: Lieutenant JG Ryan Warner. Quarters reassignment. Vaxx was going to need to see about upgrading his own quarters, perhaps there was a deal to be had in all of this. He headed out and made his way back toward the cargo bays, his mind turning over the possibilities.
