Expectations

Computer, begin personal log, stardate 63721.4. After my somewhat brief meeting with the senior staff at Starfleet Intelligence headquarters, it's been decided that I will be tied to a desk, probably for the rest of my tour of duty. Someone once said 'well it's a hell of a desk to be tied to', but in this case I'm having my doubts. I'd much rather be in the field but the doctors in their infinite wisdom say that's unlikely to be a possibility in any near future.

I've therefore booked passage on the USS Acheron and made arrangements to hook up with the Archimedes somewhere on their route to Citadel Prime. By all accounts, the captain has his work cut out for him to bring peace, or at least stability to the region. As for my involvement, well, some more research will have to be done.
