The words 'simple' and 'routine' should never have been uttered in this mission's brief given the situation the Ranger now finds itself in--Captain Halliwell taken from her own bridge; the Federation Ambassador disappearing from his quarters without trace or alarm; a stealth enemy with fingerprints emanating from the planet they now orbit. Commander T'mpest Michaels must assume command alongside a newly promoted XO pushed through from the brass currently on board posing as an observer, to stabilise this situation, to find and finally deliver the Ambassador, and to locate their lost captain before an all out civil war breaks through.
